RUNAWAYS Roblox RUNAWAYS Crew Roles
Four jobs, one abort language, fewer group wipes.
Friends queue into RUNAWAYS [beta] and still wipe together because nobody owned a job. This Crew Roles guide gives a simple four-role model that survives early-access chaos on servers of up to 50 players. Creator: supercat games. Loop: rob → pawn → vault → police → border.
Solo players can still skim this page — it teaches abort discipline. Crews should treat it as required reading before a border night. Cross-links: Crowded Servers, Escape Checklist, Common Mistakes.
Role 1 — Scout
Watches approaches, contested density, and whether a vault neighborhood is already a tax event. Uses map habits from Map and Locations. Calls “rotate” early so the crew does not ego-farm a dead circuit.
Scout tools: vision, voice, and the courage to say no.
Role 2 — Breaker
Owns vault entry gear and timing. Reads How to Crack Vaults and Best Tools. Never stages the entire crew net worth on the doorstep. Reloads (R) behind cover; attaches (Q) before contact.
Breaker rule: if the door is contested, postpone.
Role 3 — Carrier
Protects bag space, pawn timing, and loot filters. Lives in How to Rob and Pawn, Loot Priority, Inventory Tools, and Cash Farming. Drops junk with X so the squad stays mobile.
Carrier rule: cash conversion beats trophy collecting.
Role 4 — Rear
Owns abort calls when police or rival crews collapse the plan. Masters How to Escape Police and slide lines (C). Guns are exit tools — Guns & Combat.
Rear rule: abort language beats pride language.
Shared abort dictionary
Agree before the first punch:
- Rotate — leave this circuit now
- Hold — stop greed, organize inventory in cover
- Abort vault — no boom tonight
- Checklist — run Escape Checklist before border talk
- Push — border attempt only after checklist green
If chat only knows “go go go,” you do not have a crew — you have a wipe club.
Session shapes that work
Warm-up (10 minutes)
Everyone drills Click/Touch, E, X, F, C using Controls or the Controls Cheatsheet. Mobile players open Mobile Tips.
Farm block (20–30 minutes)
Scout picks a quiet circuit. Carrier leads pawn cadence. Breaker stays kit-ready but silent unless a clean vault appears.
Optional spike (10 minutes)
One vault max unless the neighborhood is empty and bags have space.
Border window (or reset)
How to Reach the Border + Escape Loadouts. No vibes pushes after the popularity spike documented in Growth Snapshot.
Duo and trio compression
- Duo: Scout+Rear merge; Breaker+Carrier merge
- Trio: Scout separate; Breaker; Carrier+Rear merge
Never leave abort ownership ambiguous.
UPDATE 2 — 6-Player Crew Coordination
UPDATE 2 (29 August 2026) raised vehicle seat capacity. The T1000 now seats 6 players and the Chunk Mover seats 5. A full 6-player crew can now travel in one vehicle instead of splitting across two. Plan crew roles around the new capacity:
- Driver owns the route and abort calls for the vehicle
- Rear still owns abort calls but now coordinates from the back seat
- Scout rides up front to call rotation early
- Breaker, Carrier, and any extra slots distribute between mid and rear
A 6-player vehicle changes crew composition strategy significantly — test full-crew runs with the T1000 before committing to high-risk border attempts. See Vehicle Tier for the updated T1000 and Chunk Mover capacity details.
Border and badge nights as a unit
When the squad shifts from farm to escape, rename priorities out loud: Scout watches density on the approach, Carrier owns the filtered bag, Breaker only keeps vault kit if the route still needs it, Rear owns abort and peel lines. Mexico is the fantasy win (International Fugitive). Checkpoint language (Kansas → Oklahoma → Texas) is progress vocabulary from Badges and Checkpoints — not an excuse to stop and selfie every state line while heat climbs.
If someone wants Hardened Criminal (Mexico at police level 5), the whole crew must opt in before the meter spikes. Solo flex goals inside a cash night wipe everyone. Driving logistics live on Getaway Driving; heat decisions live on Police Heat Levels.
What crews should ignore
- Fake codes — Active Codes
- Unverified scripts — Script List
- Undated “always vault” clips that ignore density

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for RUNAWAYS heists, escapes, and gear.
Do we need four people?
No. Compress roles in duos and trios, but never leave abort ownership unclear.
Who calls the border?
Anyone can propose. Rear (or the merged abort owner) vetoes unless the Escape Checklist is green.
Should the breaker always lead?
No. Breakers own vault spikes. Carriers often lead farm blocks because cash timing matters more.
What if randoms fill our server?
Treat them as weather. Keep your abort dictionary and rotate earlier — see Crowded Servers.
Who owns Hardened Criminal attempts?
The whole crew must opt in. Peak heat Mexico is a planned special — not a surprise mid-farm.
Do checkpoint badges change roles?
Roles stay the same. Checkpoints are progress language. Abort ownership still belongs to Rear (or the merged abort owner).
How does UPDATE 2 change crew coordination?
The T1000 now seats 6 and Chunk Mover seats 5. Full crews can travel in one vehicle instead of splitting. Coordinate roles within the vehicle: driver, rear, scout, and support slots.
