RUNAWAYS Roblox RUNAWAYS September 2 2026 Notes
UPDATE 2 is live: bounty hunting, bigger crews, new cars, truck stops, and class-tied bundles.
This is a 2 September 2026 wiki pass for RUNAWAYS [beta] by supercat games. UPDATE 2 dropped on 29 August 2026 via the official Discord announcements channel (developer emiletrep). Public aggregator listings show roughly ~30 million visits, concurrent peaks in the 40,000–45,000 range, and about 231,000 favorites. The fantasy loop is unchanged: rob loot, pawn for cash, blow open vaults, outrun police, reach Mexico on 50-player R6 servers.
This page covers what UPDATE 2 added so you can retest the right habits before your next border push.
What UPDATE 2 added
The developer posted the full UPDATE 2 log on the official Discord announcements channel on 29 August 2026. These are the confirmed additions:
Bounty System
A new bounty system pays extra cash for hunting down other criminals. This creates a secondary economy outside the traditional rob-and-pawn loop — completing bounties now competes with vault runs as a income source. Prioritize learning which targets pay best before committing a full session to bounty hunting.
Seat Capacity Raised to 6 Players
Vehicle seat capacity has been increased. Chunk Mover now seats 5 players and the T1000 seats 6. This changes crew composition strategy significantly — a full 6-player crew can now share one vehicle instead of splitting across two. Plan crew roles (breaker, driver, lookout) with the new capacity in mind.
Gifting One-Use Items
Players can now gift one-use items to each other. This enables crew loadout coordination: one player carries extras while another carries the primary kit. Useful for sharing fuel cans, health items, or tools before a high-risk vault attempt.
Chicken Buckets in KLC
Chicken Buckets can sometimes be found in the KLC (Knife Lady Clinic or similar location context). Treat this as ambient loot — not a reliable income source, but a bonus pickup during normal runs.
New Truck Stops Location
A new Truck Stops location was added to the map. This expands refueling options and creates new route possibilities for southbound runs. Check Map and Locations for the updated approach.
New Vehicles: GR8R and G-Truck (Credz) plus Fastbacker (Robux)
Two new Credz-priced cars joined the lineup: GR8R and G-Truck. A Robux-exclusive option called Fastbacker also appeared. Full stats and rankings will be added to Vehicle Tier after in-game verification. Check Gamepasses and the in-game store for current pricing.
Car Camos
Car camos were added as a customization option. These allow visual personalization of vehicles beyond the existing paint system.
Car Paints Now Owned — Free Switching Back
A major quality-of-life change: car paints are now owned. Previously, switching paint colors may have required repurchasing. Now once you own a paint, switching back to a previous color is free. This removes a friction cost for players who switch routes or want to run different aesthetics for different situations.
More Gun Damage
Weapon damage received a general increase. This changes combat dynamics — fights end faster, which can be an advantage or a liability depending on your kit. Re-test your preferred sidearm’s effective range after this update.
New Bounty Hunter Skin Bundle — Class-Tied Bundles
A new Bounty Hunter skin bundle was added. Notably, bundles are now tied to a class. This is a structural change: purchasing a bundle may now apply a specific class skin permanently or while that class is active. Treat class bundle purchases as commitment decisions rather than cosmetic swaps.
What to Retest After UPDATE 2
Use this order before your next serious session:
- Bounty System — learn payout thresholds and target types before building a bounty-hunting loadout
- Vehicle capacity — test 6-player crew coordination if you run with a squad
- Gun damage — confirm your sidearm still fits the escape-first combat philosophy
- Car paints — verify the free-switch behavior in your garage
- New vehicles — GR8R, G-Truck, and Fastbacker stats will be added to Vehicle Tier after community testing
